Artist Designer Philosopher
From hunch to punch: Swimming in the golden pond of ideas, and emerging with clarity and power
Luke Jaaniste's 'ideas whispering' work has grown out of artistic, philosophical and research practices that span embodied immersion, group process, communal engagement, event curation, public policy, arts pedagogy, research methodology, and philosophy of creative process. Currently he practices as a sonic, social and spatial artist, graphic designer, and philosopher of liveliness.
Luke has worked in many project direction and support roles across university, arts and activitist sectors over the last 15 years (at QUT, Griffith University, Brisbane City Council and arts groups including Theatre of Thunder, Compost Composers, Super Critical Mass, COREM, Renew Fest) and worked with practitioners from many fields and disciplines spanning arts, design, media, digital and embodiment traditions. He has worked closely with over 250 research candidates in QUT Creative Industries and Qld College of Art in the last decade, along with dozens of professional artists and adventurous practitioners.
