Award Winning Theatre Creator
Elevating Conversations Through Theatre
Justin has been passionate about theatre his entire life. He began as a little kid by gathering his cousins and siblings together during the holidays to put on plays (and puppet shows) that he would write, produce and direct in order to entertain the adults. He received his Bachelor’s degree in theatre from Oklahoma State University and was awarded the Most Outstanding Theatre Senior Award. Since then he has been involved in over 30 productions either as an actor, production manager or director. He won a Westword award in 1998 for Best Environmental Theatrical Production for the show K2, which was held in a climbing gym. He is very passionate about how theatre can change lives, unify and bring people together. He has performed with the Playback Theatre Troupe at a National Diversity and Inclusion Conference in Virginia and facilitated Forum Theatre at Bahá’í Seasonal Schools in Michigan, Illinois and Colorado. And wrote and facilitated a program to train applied theatre practitioners that premiered last summer at Bosch Bahá'í School in California. He is currently attending grad school in order to get his Masters degree in Theatre and Social Change from the CU Theatre and Dance Department in Boulder, Colorado.
