Presenter Biography

In 2011, Brad founded the “Welcome to Australia” movement, now a national organisation with staff in three states and an annual event – Walk Together – taking place in more than 25 cities and regional centres on the same day each year. Welcome to Australia’s rapid growth and advocacy strength was in Brad’s ability to build broad-based support from settlement organisations, unions, faith groups, community organisations, national sporting bodies and advocacy groups around common goals and values.

Brad worked as a consultant to World Vision with a focus on developing their “elite influencers” strategy, in partnership with the Campaign for Australian Aid, involving many significant political, business and entertainment figures in the promotion of Australian Aid for the first time.

Brad founded and convened the Family and Domestic Violence Advocacy Network in South Australia, was on the national steering committee of Christians for Marriage Equality, is on the Board of Reconciliation SA and Food for Education (Kenya) and was named by The Advertiser in South Australia’s 100 Most Influential People in 2018.

In addition to these advocacy roles, Brad has worked as a Ministerial Adviser at both the State and Federal level and is an Associate Director at Essential.
